You've gotten your Chyrobolt and are excited to see the amazing performance and power of percussion therapy, but you're a little overwhelmed as to how you should go about using the Chyrobolt to get the best result? Don't worry, we've got you covered.
A Word Of Caution
If you have ruptured a muscle or tendon, have intense pain, or an injury related to your muscle, please consult a physician or doctor before using Chyrobolt. While massage guns have amazing benefits, they are not a miracle device and can cause harm if used improperly.
To Enhance Recovery
You can throw our your ol' foam roller now, it's okay. Chyrobolt is designed with helping your body recover in mind. Percussion therapy quickly pushes out all the built-up lactic acids that cause soreness and muscle fatigue. Think of it like foam rolling on steroids, and not as awkward.
The best speed(s) to help push out lactic acid on the Chyrobolt are operating within speeds 13 to 18 (~38 strokes/second).
What is Lactic Acid?
Lactic acid is often the result of normal metabolism. Oxygen in the blood is necessary to convert glucose into energy. However, when there is insufficient oxygen, the body breaks down glucose without oxygen, resulting in lactic acid.
Lactic acid, or lactate, builds up within many tissues, including muscles, and then enters the bloodstream. People often experience high levels of lactic acid during or following strenuous exercise. This is called exercise-induced or exercise-related hyperlactatemia.
A buildup of lactic acid can make muscles feel sore or tired. Typically, the liver will break down excess lactate in the blood.
Muscle Activation
One of the best uses for Chyrobolt is actually pre-workout. As you're getting ready to stretch before an intense gym session, use the device at a low speed (1 to 12) to activate your muscles.
We recommend using the large ball massage head attachment for this as it covers more muscle groups.
You can continue to use the Chyrobolt in short sessions between sets in your workout, to ensure your muscles always remain active and comfortable.
Relaxation & Sleep
One of the amazing benefits of Chyrobolt is that it's not only used for rugged workout recovery. You can use it to achieve a better, deeper sleep along with relaxing your muscles after a long day's work.
The best massage head to use for this is the Air Lock head. It's soft double-layered air suppression allows for a gentle but firm massage to your muscles and tissues and can be used in more delicate areas of the body without discomfort.
We recommend using the Air Lock head for a few minutes on each major muscle group, at any speed from 19 to 30 for a deep massage feeling coupled with the softness of the Air Lock head.
The Chyrobolt has a list of amazing benefits that can benefit you pre/mid/post workout along with having practical uses in your busy everyday life. Whether you're an athlete in training, a gym rat putting in the work every day, or just want some stress relief at the end of long days of hard work - Chyrobolt can help.
